Studying the effectiveness of the National Housing Strategy in addressing core housing needs and homelessness
The National Housing Council (NHC) brings together committed, diverse and expert group members from across Canada to advise the federal government on housing issues in Canada. A key responsibility of the NHC is monitoring the effectiveness of the National Housing Strategy, Canada's 10-year plan to create a new generation of housing in Canada.
In summer 2020, Blueprint was engaged by the NHC to conduct in-depth data analysis to study the extent to which programs under the National Housing Strategy are doing enough to support those in greatest need of housing. Blueprint's findings will inform the NHC in developing recommendations for the Federal Government to improve the National Housing Strategy and ensure that it meets the needs of Canadians.
